Hi,

My name is Sumit n i m a hard core follower of roadies.I have a habit of noticing every AD,serial and Reality shows like Roadies.

I have noticed that raghu n his bro.. r taking back seat when ever they r interviewing females visa-a- vis males to give u n example :

In kolkatta auditions (i don’t remember the name of that girl shayad her name starts with P n she is selected also) when raghu asked him to lift the chair on which she was sitting while lifting the chair she said ” Ohh baba chair bahut bhari hai” inspite of this they have selected her n on top of that raghu came there n helped that girl in lifting the chair I can’t believe how can raghu do this? if this words would have been used by a guy then i know one thing 4 sure then raghu n his bro.. would have l f**** the happiness of that guy but when a girl is saying that they are only smiling n encouraging her to do more foolishness like this.If you go back to the videos u will observe that raghu n his bro r 100% bias they r screwing only male candidates but when it comes to female they r happily listening to their bullshit.

I m SORRY to say this is not true Roadies spirit this is for TRP nothing else

Plz treat both the sexes equally if u want a true Roady n if you want a lull Roady Choice is yours plz continue praising girl n taking back seat n screwing only male candidates
one suggestion for u guys if you want to praise girl n wan to be bias towards them then better change the name of Roadies to “WHO WILL BE FEMALE ROADY- A realty show ONLY for Female”

Believe in your guts n not in whims n fancies of the female candidates

Plz take this as a positive feedback

I have been watching MTV Roadies trust me you guys are great, i was shocked to see your twin brother. Contestants must have missed many of their heart beat, as everyone know Raghu is a hard nut to break. However you guys rock. I was one of your crazy fan and after seeing your brother I am speech less…Anyways all the very best for your show and i seriously hope this time some worth become a Roadie.

Note: there are people in hyderabad i know are really adventures and very out going hopefully you should give them a chance.

i think u ppl (raghu nd rajeev) are gr8.I never quite managed to like nikhil(he shouted at almost everything without a reason)..
I support all of ur views about respecting women,abt live-in-relationships,abt not considering “homosexuals as retards” as according to varisha(a retard herself)..
many ppl specially youths all over India and abroad watch roadies,and ppl get influenced by all the things that you two talk about…so its good that the right msg goes out to them…its awesum when raghu goes abt saying “ladkio ko peetna nahi chahiye,mazak mein bhi nahin”….thumbs up 2 u!!!

Hi Raghu & Rajeev,

I used to hate MTV Roadies. I never tried to follow it. Everytime, the show used to be in air, I used to switch on to another channel. I used to feel the show is full of foul words, bad attitude and full of unwanted attention seeking people however this time I made sure that I watch it everytime it was on air (sometimes i even watched the re-runs). I felt it was awesome….you guy really bring out the real person behind all the fake character who come in for audition. You guys have become my inspirtaion…someday I also want to try getting into your show. Let see wether you would be able to guess me or not….cause i am real prominent character…(LOL)…Awaiting further episodes of your show.

No doubt!! the show is excellent and deservs tremendous success, but the ’so called’ judge and an insane mindset human being on the planet – Raghu is a not at all a biased person. Understood that the concept behind Roadies is your brain child, that doesn’t mean you or idiot Nikhil or Rajiv has the right to use abusive words towards the contestants. I have seen few of your videos on youtube expressing your persona you have. SOMETIMES, literary SOMETIMES I have seen you talking biased.

I think you have lot of scope to improve urself and run the show again to get that deserved success!!!.

raghu and rajiv … you both guys are dumb a** ,don’t know any thing .As this show is all yours and have protection (bouncers)you guys take heart out of others ..At neutral venue you will s***.

Actually you yourself don’t know what to expect from a roadie.I just don’t want to comment about female participant(biasing for girls is straight guy mentality..carry on).
For guys those who show “ki wo tum dono ke talwe chaatte hain” and they are inferior to you (certainly not the champoos),you select them .
so, its insane for me to try roadies…

Roadies is a great show to watch and the best part to watch is the comments by u and the way u guys scare people in the auditions…. But i have one question that is stryking me again and again that WHY IS RAGHU LEAVING ROADIS??? i mean i think ur the true spirit of Roadies and once you will be out or u will quit than the Spirit may end or even may decrease…

Hi Guys…….just wanna tell u people that there is nothing a rodie spirit which these people r searching…..They just wanna make there show a bit entertaining.thats why they they neglect smart candidates and select dumb ones like Poulomi,dev etc.(can somebody tell me wht was so great abt these people)…if that is the criteria then better they include some jokers from circus to make show more entertaining.

Really good to see you on TV again. We really love your show but was really disappointed to see the 6 contestants go back in first episode. I though those were most deserving roadies of all…
There is one more suggestion that please try to audition down south too, like Hyd and Chennai… We really did not understand some of your selections like Paulomi…. Good luck for the fantastic work and your contribution

I disagree to Sumit Kakkar reason the girl he is talking about in a disturb child she will definitely give her best, she is not physically weak but confusedly feminine. Raghu i respect u and adore u for the fact u respect females which unfortunately today men have forgotten.

Hi Raghu,
I want to register my disgust at the way Pradip and Sandeep bullied Dev. It was really shameful and what was even more shocking was the utter lack of remorse that Pradip displayed when Rannvijay reprimanded him. I donot know whether this incident was manufactured keeping in mind the TRPs of the show but the least you guys could have done was booted out Pradip from the show. These are the kind of guys who eventually turn into someone like a Raj Thackeray and hold people to ransom with their threats and demands. Even though Dev is irritating to some extent, Pradip’s behaviour was totally uncalled for and unpardonable. I would expect someone like Raghu and Rannvijay to take a stand here and boot out people like Pradip to send out a strong message to people who are watching this show.

frankly speaking i was eyeing 4 an oppurtunity 2 write my views and i got 1..so i m personally happy that u have decided 2 opt out of this show as this show was no different than other shows containing full of melodrama..n people of ur calibre is not accepted 2 b a part of this..n i feel the people who wins the roadies r not the one who deserve 2 b roadies but r those who deserve 2 b politicians…the one who performs the task or are capable of are voted out..n the rest are just having fun..hope u people do leave this as a realty show rather than making it another mockery by including all sorts of melodrama and politics..

sumit kakkar saab says that he finds the brother duo team biased. Well, it might come across like that but I hope he finds it interesting to notice that the choice of such candidates who repell the notion of Roadies spirit, may make excellent material to put in a group situation to cause the same within the group, raising the stress levels of those around, to make the show more genuine and tense. Keeping everyone one the edge of their comfort zones, making it a viewing pleasure for the audience at home, seeing these foools fall for those stress-traps themselves due to their inflated, blind ego making them a laughing stock. That’s Hell Down Under anyways.

was wondering what r u ppl upto.am a huge fan of roadies..and last year after the end of every episode i used to crave 4 more..participants were good .if not well spoken (barring few) atleast they knew waht to speak and how to speak ..this tym its a big disappoinment to watch all the losers together..except for 3-4 of them it seems ppl are pikd up so dat they can cut a sorry figure evry tym they speak.
the only thing which still tempts the people is Rannvijay..cheers to that dude..he looks great..speaks well ..and has the capacity to pull it off even when the participants suck to the core.please choose atleast 6-7 smart people so dat the show lives up to its image.

Not good enough challenging tasks (at least for audiences/viewers). Have expectations of tasks like of AXN FearFactor for Roadies’ …

I’m a Lt.Col in some place. I am 26. I never saw your show until recently. Then when I was too bored to death someone put that thing inside my thick skull and I saw the auditions. I felt what a bunch of loser my goodness!!! When they should be preparing for their CDS/IIT(may be)they have so much luxury given by life to fool around like this. I got 5 masters’ degrees by the time I was 23 and well before that I became squadron commander. I am not boasting because I do not have the need. I mentioned it to elucidate my point. There are so many people at this age who are the real roadies, I doubt these people have never walked on a real road under the cracking sun. I mean look at them sweet faces so photogenic. I mean what a wastage of the earth’s resources as they go on living and shitting on this planet. It caught my interest to see how they got fked in due course. As I watch your show I happen to find that at times you guys do manage to change the screwed up minds of those monkeys and made them men (all the girlies in the show I mean). My only suggestion is can you make the tasks a little tougher, please, which will test the endurance of the individual.
Thanks for such entertainment. And yeah Boldies are smart… ha ha, you bet. You guys are doing good, proud of ya twins your audition interviews are almost sublime.

She is so violent doesnt have descency, she is coward kicking the weeker person than her. U should have removed her to teach her lessons, but u wanted the masala in the show she can create the scenes & make show interesting. There is something in him with which the youth gets attracted. Sometimes he's so very right that you won't have any thing to say except for agreeing to him. But sometimes he misuses his powers and I feel that he can't take anyone who thinks like him or more than him.

These days his twists are easily predictable but happy to see that there is more importance given to performances this year and not the cat fights and craps like last season.

Roadies is a popular reality show. However, it was more enjoyable in its early versions than its later versions. The reason is that it being manipulated and moulded beyond the limit by Raghu Ram – the producer of the show. The show is slowly losing the spirit of a genuine adventure game. It appears that the success has gone to the head of Raghu Ram. The way Raghu shouts and barks at the contestants is becoming more and more distasteful. The show sometimes even hints of biasing in someone’s favour. The show must follow certain basic guidelines that should not be tampered otherwise what’s the point in watching a show where the producer himself is playing a God! In short, Raghu is ruining the spirit of the game and altogether it will become a boring stuff sooner or later.

We know them as the two bad, bald guys on MTV — the ones who host reality shows Roadies and Splitsvilla, grilling the contestants and bringing excitement and controversy to the shows for viewers.
Raghu Ram has been around since the inception of Roadies, the popular reality travel show wherein contestants take a road trip across India and abroad on motorbikes and compete in various dares and challenges (they vote out the least popular contestants from amongst themselves at the end of each week). Rajeev Laxman, his twin brother, recently joined him to make this season of Roadies: Hell Down Under real hell! If you thought one was torture, two are a catastrophe waiting to happen.

However, there is more to the brothers than the lean, mean side we see on television. Insiyah Vahanvaty catches up with them to find out more.

Let's start off with the question topmost in your audience's mind — what's with the tough attitude on Roadies?

Rajeev: Since Roadies is a reality show, we place an unbelievable premium on the cast. Because once the contestants are selected, it's them who will make the show. We need a certain kind of cast — people who are reactive, expressive and not too introverted.

Once on the show, they are told not to interact with us at all — to the extent that if they are walking and see us coming towards them, they're supposed to turn around and walk back. We want to keep them isolated to an extent, interacting with each other only, not bringing their problems to us.

As for the toughness, well, that's pretty much who we are. The way Raghu and I react to certain situations may seem aggressive and tough, but that's who we are. If we want our contestants to be real, it's only fair that we meet them midway, and be real ourselves. We get really pissed off if people are disrespectful towards women, or any other section of people. And I hate it when people make statements like, 'It's against the Indian culture'. Most of the problems in this country arise from prejudices like these. When faced with this stuff during the auditions, we lose it. But, contrary to popular belief, it's not a put-on for the cameras. In fact, I'd go as far as to say I'm actually tougher in real life.

We've been known for our boorish behaviour long before the show came about (laughs). We're always aggressive with people like this.

Another reason for 'uncalled-for' aggression is to test a person. To see how s/he will react under pressure. Also, many people come for the auditions trying to be who they think we want them to be. So we sometimes get aggressive to see if the nice guy act is real. We're always watching their reactions very closely to bring out their character and see if they are cast-worthy. When I say 'cast-worthy', I mean right for the show. It's in no way meant to be a stamp of approval for one's character.

Raghu: You are defining it as a tough attitude, we are not. I wouldn't say it's aggression as much as passion. But if the situation warrants it, it comes out a little aggressively, since it's not put on. If you were to pay attention to when I sound aggressive, you'd be able to point out the reason for it too.

I have strong points of view about society, culture, what is permissible and what is not, about attitudes and things that have led to many of the problems around us. Till these attitudes don't change, the problems wont go away either. These things infuriate me.

I have very close personal knowledge of bullies, bigots and hypocrites. If you're the kind of person that thinks homosexuals are retarded, then neither do you know anything about homosexuals, nor are you interested in finding out, because the topic repulses you. In that case, I think it would be useless for me to try and reason with you. A strong viewpoint has to be met with a stronger viewpoint. A loud voice has to be countered with a louder voice, according to me.

I am intolerant to intolerance, which is why I often lose my temper. Political debates that I have with my friends are also loud and aggressive. It's who I am.

On Roadies, the situations we have engineered are designed to bring out certain emotions and test certain behaviours and attitudes. Like, in the last episode a bunch of contestants ganged up on a wounded girl, so Rajeev and I got really pissed and screamed our heads off at them.

The exercise was to see if they do the obvious thing — which is to bully people. They would have won my respect if they would have said, 'Let's not do it — let's just stay as a team and we'll see what happens.'

Sometimes on the auditions we really like someone and just want to be sure. So we lose our tempers over a seemingly small thing to see how they react to it.

Hi Raghu, or whoever reads this eventually….

I love watching Roadies and it is quite addictive, very entertaining. I don't mean to give you a sermon, but you'll agree with me that Roadies attracts the worst of human crap – the auditions make me cringe! Textbook cases of wannabe fools, under-IQ or just plain cocky candidates, the chunk of them. Your reactions speak a lot about the way you feel. I feel that what you guys at MTV do can influence the attitudes of the youth today. What you say on TV makes a big difference. Swearing on national TV doesnt come close to being cool, its just tacky. But you do it – and obviously the kids who grow up watching your shows, looking up to you in their quest to become 'cool' think punctuating their sentences with filthy words makes them cool.

Bitching on national TV – I've no words for Anmol, Shambhavi, Palak… the list is really growing… That's whats making the show interesting. But here's the deal – more and more kids think its ok to be like them. Far cry from the sanskaar and general 'good' behaviour we Indians were proud of.

I've lived abroad and seen kids in different countries – Indian kids are really an intelligent, enterprising lot. Come up with shows that shows them how to be really 'cool', not wannabe / bitchy / manipulative. Your creativity will then be put to excellent use, seriously. You guys in the media need to work constantly aware of social responsibility and love for the country. I'm sure you'll gain more fans, and your creativity will make sure TRPs stay high.

i am honey, 28 yrs f age n a designer by profession. Well, i wanted to tell dat u guys are really dng a gr8 job through this show. A concept well thgt 6 yrs back n making it a craze today is what VISION is. I appreciate n like Raghu a lot for this. Even i am from creative field n love the way u ppl hav teamed up to make a success story.
I dn't knw wat concept youngsters r having in mind for Roadies, but what I feel is that to be a part of Roadies is something that you can relish all your life of being with ppl full of creativity n bound to happen attitude.
As for Roadies 7 , as its a forecast for A/W09-10 season as well EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED…. i look forward to be if not a part of it but view the unexpected side of it.

Vt is this man.delhi me or chandigarh me audition ho chukey.its nt fair man.atleast u shouls gve chance to everyone to participate in the G.d hw u can select the persons only with their Registration forms…this is really bad..atleast nobody expects this thing from u….

RAGU / RAJIV WHERE ARE YOU…..?

RAGU AND RAJIV, DON'T TELL ME THAT U TWO HV LEFT ROADIES….? What is going on. there is no show on roadies 7. what is really going on. Ragu and Rajiv did everything methodically , handling every step they took carefully. Noone can handle Roadies the way Ragu and Rajiv did.
It was a different show altogether.
RAGU AND RAJIV MUST BE ON THE SHOW….OTHERWISE THERE IS NO SHOW. WE DON'T WANT TO SEE ROADIES WITHOUT SEEING RAGU AND RAJIV ON TV. THEY MUST BE THERE.
THEY R THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO CAN HANDLE IT. NOW OTHER PEOPLE R TRYING TO GIVE INTEREST TO THE SHOW…..BUT IT LOOKS CHEAP AND FUNNY. iT IS A VERY POOR SHOW.
U GOT A NAME FOR THIS SHOW BECAUSE OF RAGU ONLY. IT WAS ALL HIS HARD WORK.
JUST SHOW HIM ON TV AND YR SHOW WL BE A BLAST. WE WANT TO SEE RAGU HANDLING THE SHOW.

hii raghu sir, em yatin… n i just wan knw bout idea mobile roadie contest… cuz i many a times got a call fr4om a guy named kapil and he told me that u will have to cum to mumbai for auditions.. but do not make ny arrangements.. till i will tell u about the venue n stuff…. n also he told me that earlier i didn’t got the call… cuz u were out of india… but after that nthng hapened.. so if it was a genuine or fraud case.. i do have that umber n recorded call also… so plz zz clear ma mind bout that… i just wana be there… no matter wat…

To MTV INDIA

I am from Sri Lanka. I really really li8ked watching Roadies and all the other reality shows handled by RAGU RAM ONLY. Reason being his shows the only reality shows anyone can laugh, cry, get angry…so interesting. We used watch Roadies on Saturdasy and impatiently wait until next Sat to watch the nxt episode. We know Ragu is the only one who can give so much light, courage to the show.
Ragu and Rajiv dont' have to do anything, but just see their faces on TV bring happiness to us.

What do you'll do now. Actually the interest we had on the MTV reality shows are dying down. TOO loooooong u kept Ragu away from the shows. It's really toooo loooooong.

Without Ragu there is NO SHOW. What is Bani doing….. Stupid…..just wasting the time of the channel which u can utilize for something else…at least some cookery wl be much better.

Pls stop Bani's programme.

Please don't spoil things anymore and pls bring Ragu the Master of everything back NOW.

So what if Ragu can't ride a bike……No big deal…ha…ha….
